Karma is NOT a bitch…

As per our Hindu religion, Karma plays a pivotal role. If we do well this lifetime, then we will have better Karma in store for our next life but damn you if you do anything bad… you shall suffer eternal damnation in your next life!

I have a question here… what happens if we are really mean in this life but follow all rituals & do pujas like a clock work, will my next life be good or bad!?!

Tell tell…

Anyways, without digressing further, let me come to the point of this post. My dear friends it is most obvious that I am not here to give gyaan about karma... but I am writing this to tell you two things I’ve understood over a period of time…

  1. Karma will punch the crap out of you in this very lifetime only
  2. It will not happen the way you expect or anticipate.

For example, the other day I overheard a person with a ludicrous voice and the mean ass that I am; I made fun of it... (Behind his back of course, I am not that evil). I was expecting that my voice will be made fun of eventually some day.  However, that did not happen! No Sir! I completely lost my voice for over 2 days.

So karma bit me in my ass but in a different way!

So what was the point of this rant of mine? A simple sentence actually!

Every action has consequences so please be very careful of what you say or do OR whom you hurt! It all comes back!

Reasons for an arrange marriage for a girl (In India) in early/mid/late 30’s

This is my idea after doing an unofficial research between some friends and acquaintances. It may or may not be the real reason of the world, but this is what I understood.
Also acquaintances from various income groups were questioned, and this was overall the result!

NOTE:

This is not an official research, but done for fun sake. So please take it lightly!

If you don’t like the research, too bad! Go do your own research!

Harry Potter & the Cursed Child – My Review

Even though the cover clearly states that it’s a play by J. K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany; just like millions of other fan boys & fan girls I thought I’d get a book off which a play has been made.

ALAS!!!!! That was not true! After I had filled my mug with coffee and opened a bag of chips to accompany me with my newly received book in the mail, I opened the first page to a script!!! Can you believe it...? A GODDAMNED SCRIPT!!!!!

However, as I gulped my first disappointment with a mouthful of coffee, I proceeded on and stumbled on to my second & biggest disappointment... this was not written by J K Rowling at all... It seemed like the play has been written by 2 great playwrights and J K Rowling let them borrow her name.

In my past, I’ve read enough fan fictions of Harry Potter to understand that this is just like those well written but not original books.

I am disappointed because of the following;
  • I thought it would be a book when it is a play script (my mistake)
  • The book is more of a fan fiction than a continuation of actual Harry Potter series (their mistake).

My verdict – A good book if you consider it to be any other random witch/wizard novel or play; but pretty much sad if you wanted more of Harry Potter magic.

Villains with a Heart

These villains have tormented the world and the protagonists have gone through trials & tribulations to vanquish these guys. However, do we know that these so called villains or bad guys also had a heart? May be they were misunderstood... may be injustice was dished out to them... that we may never know... but what we do know that these 5 guys were all hearts and we got them wrong!

Voldermort believed in Harry’s education; he always attacked just before the holidays or at the end of the school year.

The Joker only wanted to earn some money and share some jokes. Too bad that people did not get his jokes and labeled him as an evil clown with a broken psyche.

Gabbar Singh was an art appreciating person.  Why else would he ask Basanti to dance for his men? He also appreciated folk dance & music because he seemed elated & appreciative of the performance of “Mehbooba” by the gypsies.

Shakaal was an animal lover! He believed that no matter what, his pet sharks should not be devoid of food! So he brought in food for those lil guys. We really cannot help if the itsy bitsy Sharkey’s favorite food is people.

Agent Smith was just an evolving program doing his job of stopping any loose cannons. It is Neo’s fault actually that he has to go and revolt against the Matrix; but we all know who was termed as the ‘villain’.

If you have an open mind, you’d find more of these guys. All I am saying is… the villains might not be all bad, they may have a heart or a wish or two (just like the next person)… try to look at it from their point of view once in a while!

Is it just me?

Hello again my dear friends!!! Hope you are well! I am well too, Thank you for asking. Now getting on with today’s writing, are you ready? Well... hoping you said yes... here we go!

Today we talk about my dreams… again! The reason why I re-visit this same topic often because I think my dreams are just getting weirder by the nights. I wonder is it just me or do you, my dear friends, have such weird dreams? Do answer below... but only after you've read mine!

The other day I was suffering from a severe migraine, so I popped a pill and slept through the entire day, and I had dreams. They were like short stories and not a novel of a dream.

One such short dream was where my long deceased grandpa (who had a bad leg after an accident at a ripe old age of 70) comes galloping towards me on a giant horse and tells me to make fondue. That was it, the end of my dream sequence 1.

Dream sequence 2 – One of my age old crush, with whom I have no contact what so ever (not even fb stalking happens), dumps a boat load of books in front of me and tells me to read Kafka!!! Dream dissolves as I wake up with Ole fart on my face.

Dream sequence 3 – My husband is cooking prawns for me. What is so weird in this dream you may say... well I hate prawns and HE DOES NOT COOK!!!

Then there were few more that I cannot remember… but seriously guys... is it just me or do you guys also get weird dreams??

Signs that you've become a Crazy Dog Person!!!

There are dog lovers & dog owners and there are these crazy people who would rather spend their entire waking hours with dogs instead of human beings.

Here are 5 signs that would confirm if you've transitioned from a dog lover to a crazy dog person. Once you've become a Crazy Dog person, there is no point of return!!! You are one of us now!!!! Hee Hee Haa Haa (evil laugh)!!!!!!!!!

You congratulate your dogs by saying that he/she is a good boy/girl and you are proud of him/her when they complete their poop mission everyday; even though he is 6 and she is 2 1/2 and have been house broken for around 5 1/2 and 2 years now.

When you wear something fancy, you ask your dogs for an opinion on how you are looking. Their opinions matter the most.

When your dogs are in a barking competition with the neighborhood dog from the window, you politely ask them to use their 'inside voice' and they do!!!

When your important and unavoidable weekend plan is giving your dogs a full body massage and you  get mighty upset if that has to be canceled due to something else happening in the house.

When you are staying in a hotel or at a friend's house, you cannot sleep well at night, because you are not hugging your dogs.

All Hail The Crazy Dog People!!!!

Marriage Material

One day I was minding my own business of gnawing at a sandwich and drinking some coffee at a cafe, when I overheard a conversation between a boy and his relative who was convincing him to get married. They seemed to be from a well-to-do & literate family (notice I said literate & not educated, as you read one, you'd see that literate as the elder relative might be, he did not have a dime of education in him).

Relative : Beta get married soon. Why are you making your parents worry so much? They want to see the face of their grandson before they die.

Boy: Arrey! just because they want a grandchild, I cannot lose my freedom.

Relative: You don't have to lose your freedom (**winks** & **Laughs loudly**). See beta, your parents are getting old, you cannot take care of them always. Your wife will take care. She will cook for you, give your mother company and will keep the house clean. Also be adamant that you want a working wife, so that she can help you financially as well. You go enjoy your freedom na.. who said no to that. What your wife does not know will not hurt.

Boy: Hmm. Ok. Let me think about it!

By this time I was fuming. Also I had finished my meal and didn't have to leave food behind once I made my dramatic exit after some sharp words I was about to impart to the guy.

Me: Excuse me dude.. May I cut in?

Relative: **Irritated** Kya hai?

Boy: Yes please.

Me: Allow me to translate what your uncle just sugar coated for you. You want a nurse for your old parents, a cook for the family, a company for your mother and a cleaning lady for the house. Basically you want a working mule  who would slog her butt at home and earn money for you and off course please you in bed as well. While she spends her every waking hour for you and your family, you can "have fun" and enjoy life.

After saying this, I congratulated the very stunned young man for his impending nuptial and made a dramatic exit as I had planned!
