A woman’s right to equality… or so we think!

I am rather unhappy to start 2017 with such a heavy article. However, the recent Bangaluru molestation incident is making me so angry that my heart is hurting now. To add insult to injury the sorry excuses of human being (read politicians) are coolly blaming the woman kind for the barbaric activity of these monsters. I wonder what they would have to say if someday one of their family members becomes a victim to this heinous act.

I want to ask these politicians who blame women for molestation/rape the following questions;
~ Is a 10 year old girl/boy wearing school uniform returning from school asking the predator to ‘give it to her/him’?
~ Is a woman minding her own business and walking down the road asking random useless men to molest her?
~ Is a child sitting in her own home attracting male relatives to touch her in her private places?
~ Why are woman being treated like 2nd grade citizens in our own country?

Before this Delhi was known as the Rape Central, now looks like Bangaluru is becoming the Molestation Central.

While other countries are treating rapists/molesters with death sentence and castration, our lawyers are finding loopholes to protect these scums on the basis of bloody technicalities. If you remember the Nirbhaya case, the juvenile rapist Ram (the biggest scoundrel of the lot) was represented by a woman and she was of the view that he is actually not a bad person but circumstances have made him that ways, and since he was few months away from being an adult, we could treat him with love and he will be rehabilitated. SUCH A LOAD OF CRAP! The only thing that juvenile rapist probably understood was not to get caught after his next act of monstrosity.

Honest effort as it was, a movie like PINK can make a lot of hullaballoo but that is it… the monsters that actually do these things would not go to watch such a movie. Even if they do, it would not matter to them.

I sincerely wish stricter laws are made for these chutias. Once it is proven that XYZ person is the criminal, straight up castration or death penalty should be dished out.

Ideally human rights activists should not raise any voice for such capital punishments but if they do then again I have the same question --- would you be so kind to this bastard if the victim was your loved one?

PINK! my review

No means No!

These words have a reinforced effect after the release of the movie 'Pink'!

Everything about this movie is so deliberate and hard hitting! Even the name of the movie is not chosen as a girl's favorite color. Veeresh Malik, (a blogger who wrote for TOI), explained that in many countries and cultures, the word Pink means “vagina of the sort that is bought, with violence”.

Every girl who has even walked alone on the roads will relate to this movie. "Pink" is not only about the final violation but about small things that the women have to tolerate everyday like eve teasing, butt pinching, boob grabbing, leering & to a certain extent racism!

Dripping with sarcasm each sentence coming out of Sr. Bachchan's mouth was heart wrenching. I was astounded at the callousness of certain college going crowd in the theater who laughed at them considering them to be jokes.

The girls (Taapsee Pannu, Andrea Tariang & Kirti Kulhari) were fabulous in their roles. Everything about the movie is just as should be. No annoying item numbers, unnecessary music or irrelevant dialogs or scenes, everything fit like a glove. Perfect combination of writing, direction and acting, this movie may be considered as the movie of the year!

My verdict –
This is the movie that the country needs now.
Must watch for everyone, your gender or age does not matter!
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is the dude of the century when it comes to acting!

Marriage Material

One day I was minding my own business of gnawing at a sandwich and drinking some coffee at a cafe, when I overheard a conversation between a boy and his relative who was convincing him to get married. They seemed to be from a well-to-do & literate family (notice I said literate & not educated, as you read one, you'd see that literate as the elder relative might be, he did not have a dime of education in him).

Relative : Beta get married soon. Why are you making your parents worry so much? They want to see the face of their grandson before they die.

Boy: Arrey! just because they want a grandchild, I cannot lose my freedom.

Relative: You don't have to lose your freedom (**winks** & **Laughs loudly**). See beta, your parents are getting old, you cannot take care of them always. Your wife will take care. She will cook for you, give your mother company and will keep the house clean. Also be adamant that you want a working wife, so that she can help you financially as well. You go enjoy your freedom na.. who said no to that. What your wife does not know will not hurt.

Boy: Hmm. Ok. Let me think about it!

By this time I was fuming. Also I had finished my meal and didn't have to leave food behind once I made my dramatic exit after some sharp words I was about to impart to the guy.

Me: Excuse me dude.. May I cut in?

Relative: **Irritated** Kya hai?

Boy: Yes please.

Me: Allow me to translate what your uncle just sugar coated for you. You want a nurse for your old parents, a cook for the family, a company for your mother and a cleaning lady for the house. Basically you want a working mule  who would slog her butt at home and earn money for you and off course please you in bed as well. While she spends her every waking hour for you and your family, you can "have fun" and enjoy life.

After saying this, I congratulated the very stunned young man for his impending nuptial and made a dramatic exit as I had planned!
